The small coral island of Caye Caulker is a true paradise on earth.

Off the Caribbean Sea, about thirty kilometres from the Belizean coast, the small coral island of Caye Caulker is a true paradise on earth: 8 kilometres long and 1 kilometre wide, the island is mainly made up of mangroves, white sandy beaches, palm trees and crystal clear waters. Caye Caulker was uninhabited for a long time, and it was not until the end of the 19th century that the first inhabitants arrived in the island, directly from the Yucatan (Mexico), trying to flee the war.

Since then, a small village with delightful colourful houses illuminate the centre of the island, where all vehicles are prohibited. Here, we do everything on foot and…barefoot! Half Creole, half Mestizos, local people are known for their friendliness and consider visitors as their second family. Caye Caulker is also famous for its extraordinary marine life. The corals are magnificent, where divers or with snorkel you can see a wide variety of tropical fish, turtles, dolphins, and rays. In the evening, the Caribbean atmosphere wins over the island, and leaves room for party to the end of the night!
