Perhaps the best way to enjoy Rio's famous bar and music scene is to head out into the bohemian district of Lapa - the birthplace of samba - accompanied by your guide. Here you will visit a renowned bar to enjoy some live Brazilian music, watch the locals and maybe even join them on the dance floor.
An alternative 'tour' takes you out for the evening to dinner at a Brazilian restaurant, followed by a special Samba Show, with beautiful Mulata dancers and stunning costumes designed to give tourists a glimpse of the traditional music and dance of the Rio de Janeiro carnival.
