London Heathrow airport is the busiest airport in the UK. From here over 80 airlines operate to 180 destinations around the world. The airport has four passenger terminals.

Connections:

Between Heathrow Terminals is very straightforward with. Terminals 2 and 3 are connected via the pedestrian underpass, with an average journey time of 10 minutes. Terminals 4 and 5 are served by free trains and buses, with an average journey time of 20 minutes.

 

Connecting from other London Airports:

  • London Gatwick: Distance 42 miles / 68km. National Express journey 65 minutes.
  • London City: Distance by road: 26 miles / 42km. Travel by Docklands Light Railway (DLR) and connect with London Underground, approximately journey time 60 minutes.
  • London Stansted: Distance 60 miles / 96km. National Express journey 80 minutes.
  • London Luton: Distance 34 miles / 55km.National Express journey 70 minutes.

Irrespective of the class of service passengers are flying, there are airport lounges that can be accessible by paying at the door, booking a day lounge pass or through a lounge membership program such as Priority Pass. TERMINAL 2:

  • Plaza Premium Departure Lounge: Lounge A3, Level 4 (after security) Gate A16. Opening hours: 05:00-23:00. £40 for 3 hours. More information.
  • Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge: Public area, near UK/Ireland Arrivals Concourse. Available to all not just passengers. Opening hours: 05:00-22:00. £30 for 1 hour or £40 for 3 hours. More information.
  • United Club: Terminal 2B. Departure Level, Across from gate 46. Opening hours: 05:00-22:00. All First and Business Class passengers travelling on, or connecting to/from, a same-day international flight operated by a Star Alliance member airline have complimentary access to this lounge. Otherwise, admittance can be obtained on the day at a cost of £40 subject to availability.

  

TERMINAL 3:

  • Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge: Public area near Bus Stop 18.  Available to all not just passengers.  Opening hours05:30-14:30.  £30 for 1 hour or £40 for 3 hours. More information.
  • Club Aspire Lounge: Lounge D, after security (near Gate 9). Departing or Transit passengers from Terminal 3 only. £25More information.
  • Number 1 Lounge Bedrooms/Lounge:  Lounge F, after security.  Opening hours: 06:00 until 22:00. £36 for 3 hours. More information.
  • Rest & Relaxation room: after security (between gate 24 and 25). Dedicated to connecting passengers with long layovers. Free entrance.

 

TERMINAL 4:

  • Plaza Premium Departure lounge: Near Gate 1 (after security). Opening hours: 05:00-23:00. £30. More information. 
  • Plaza Premium Arrivals Lounge: Mezzanine Level. Opening hours: 05:00-22:00. £30 for 1 hour or £40 for 3 hours. More information.
  • SkyTeam Lounge: Opposite Gate 10, after security. Opening hours:  05:00-22:30. International Departures only from Terminal. Please note there is no access to passengers travelling from or transferring to other Terminals.  All First and Business Class passengers travelling on, or connecting to/from, a same-day international flight operated by a SkyTeam member airline have complimentary access to this lounge. Otherwise, the cost is £30. More information.

 

TERMINAL 5:

  • Plaza Premium Departure lounge: Near Gate A7 (after security). Opening hours: 05:00-22:00. £40. More information.
  • Aspire Lounge & Spa: Near Gate A18, after security. Opening hours:  05:00 – 22:30 daily. £35. More information.
  • British Airways First:  Gallery Lounge and the luxurious Concorde Room: These lounges are exclusive for passengers flying on British Airways flight in First Cabin. Also for Gold members of the BA Executive Club and Emerald members of any of the oneworld airline. More information.
  • British Airways Business:  Gallery Lounge, Terraces Lounge and Elemis Spa: These lounges are exclusive for passengers flying on British Airways flight in in First, Club World or Club Europe.
